Renewed attention after the contract ended

Earlier success images remain in circulation as a person's body changes.

01 / THE DOCUMENTED EVENTS

What is on the public record.

The advertising partnership ended in 2007 or early 2008 after renewal negotiations failed. In 2009, CNN contrasted Alley's renewed weight gain with her earlier Jenny Craig success images and showed old advertisements. This documents a negative media association after the contract ended; it does not establish a resulting loss of sales.

02 / THE SPECIFIC RISK

What this case reveals about a partnership.

An endorsement can remain in the public eye longer than the care and funding behind the original success.

03 / WHERE HPA COULD HELP

Where thoughtful care could make a contribution.

A relevant HPA contribution would be follow-on care agreed early, with a clear handover and expert assessment of aesthetic changes. Weight management would remain with the appropriate specialists. The brand would need to review how it dates and continues to use earlier success claims. Even well-organised continuing care cannot rule out public criticism.

RESPONSIBILITY BEYOND THE CAMPAIGN

04 / SOURCES & CONTEXT

These publicly documented cases illustrate different risks: contract disputes, conflicting advertising claims, interrupted care and later negative associations with a brand. The people and companies are editorial case studies; their inclusion does not imply that HPA has cared for them. Each HPA perspective is a hypothetical application of our proposed services, not evidence that HPA could have prevented the events described.

These editorial portraits identify the people discussed. They may have been taken at a different time from the events in the case study. We draw no clinical findings or conclusions about treatment needs from their appearance.
